South Dakota Bowhunters, Inc is nonprofit organization founded by bowhunters to advance and promote bowhunting in the state of South Dakota. SDBI is governed by a nine person board of directors who are elected by the general membership. Membership is open to any person who believes in the sport of bowhunting. SDBI is financed by membership dues, and an annual gathering and auction.

Representation of your concerns and requests, with drawn proposals, at Game Commission meetings when archery related regulations and seasons are proposed.
An organization that believes in and promotes bowhunter ethics and the rules of fair chase.
A nationally affiliated bowhunter education program to educate bowhunters.
An organization working for better landowner-hunter relations.
An opportunity to associate with other active bowhunters, and to work for increased bowhunting opportunity in South Dakota.
An bowhunter get-together and banquet featuring a nationally known bowhunting personality, bowhunting seminars and clinics, archery equipment and “trophy” displays, and other archery contests and auctions.
Four quality newsletters per year that feature articles on hunting, and information on SDBI activities and issues affecting bowhunting.

Formally all memberships expired 1 year or 3 years from the date of your application
Now all yearly memberships will expire on December 31st of that year
